On August 6th, the 2 day event kicks off. We are once again at Dove Valley Regional Park in Centennial. We will be on the southmost field both days, right by the parking lot and facilities. This park has some disc dog history: Back in 1993, when club founder Rick Brydum showed up in Colorado, he and Irv Lander put together an epic event that is still spoken of with hushed and reverent tones. The Open Regional was just...awesome. The location for the first 2 years of that event was Dove Valley. The Open Regional was in Colorado for 4 years before it split into the AWI East and West Open Regionals in 1998. To fill the void that this mega event left, the Colorado Canine Challenge was spawned.

On Sunday, the CDD once again presents The Rocky Mountain Meltdown.
Simple format: 3 rounds. 1 round of UFO T&C. 1 round of Skyhoundz D/A. The top 10 at this point will do 1 final round of USDDN T&F. This will be the ULTIMATE test of throw and catch skill. No qualifications, not part of any series, just the ultimate test with 3 different T&C styles.

When it comes to T&C at the CCC, Mr. Jeff Scheetz has been unstoppable. Will he continue his streak in 2016? Or will a new thrower heat things up to the point of MELTDOWN!!
