2 day event! UFO Major on Saturday! 2015 Colorado Canine Challenge!
New Location! Dove Valley Park in SouthEast Denver: 7900 S Potomac St, Centennial, CO 80112.
The event starts at 9am both mornings.

On August 1st, the 2 day event kicks off. We are in a new (old) location this year: Dove Valley Regional Park in Centennial. We will be on the southmost field on Sunday, right by the parking lot and facilities. We have never held the CCC at this park, but it does hold some disc dog history: Back in 1993, when club founder Rick Brydum showed up in Colorado, he and Irv Lander put together an epic event that is still spoken of with hushed and reverent tones. The Open Regional was just...awesome. The location for the first 2 years of that event was Dove Valley. The Open Regional was in Colorado for 4 years before it split into the AWI East and West Open Regionals in 1998. To fill the void that this mega event left, the Colorado Canine Challenge was spawned.

The CDD in 2015 are returning to this side of town. August 1st is a UFO Major. Perhaps the question we are all asking is, can ANYONE beat Pennie Mahon and Psych? They pretty much have the deed to this event!! Novice T&C and Intermediate Freestyle divisions will also be offered that day.

On Sunday, the CDD has some very fun stuff planned for everyone. The first event of the day will be round one of the UFO DTour World Cup Championship. Yes, the World Cup title will be handed out on August 2nd. The top 5 teams (Men's and Women's) will advance to the finals, where they will face any of the teams that qualified in Florida earlier this year that make the trip.

In between the prelims and finals of DTour, we have a NEW event to spring on the Disc Dog World:
The Rocky Mountain Meltdown.
It is simple. 3 rounds. 1 round of UFO T&C. 1 round of Skyhoundz D/A. The top 10 at this point will do 1 final round of USDDN T&F. This will be the ULTIMATE test of throw and catch skill. No qualifications, not part of any series, just the ultimate test with 3 different T&C styles.
When the Meltdown dust settles, the Final DTour throws will be made and we will crown 2 new DTour World Cup Champions.
